The core of Patch 11.0.5 is the World of Warcraft 20th Anniversary event, most of which takes place in a special festival area just outside the Caverns of Time in Tanaris. Some of these mounts are brand new and others are older mounts that are returning especially for this celebration.

Anniversary

The World of Warcraft 20th Anniversary is the major focus of this patch, and Anniversary mounts can be earned from a range of sources. The Coldflame Tempest is an achievement reward from participating in a number of fun activities related to the celebration. The new Frayfeather Hippogryph and returning Core Hound (which previously appeared during the 10th Anniversary!) may be purchased from vendors at the festival grounds in Tanaris. The Azure Worldchiller will drop from the special Anniversary version of the Doomwalker boss. We aren't yet sure if the Illidari Doomhawk can be purchased from Historian Ma'di, like last year, or if it will drop from Doomwalker - like earlier years.

In addition to the mounts below, this year's celebration also features two new mount-dropping Anniversary bosses: the Sha of Anger - which can drop the Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent, and Archavon - who can drop the and Grand Black War Mammoth (Horde & Alliance versions). We don't know if these versions will have higher drop rates than their regular counterparts.

Timewalking

Timewalking rewards are receiving some new additions in 11.0.5! Below are a pair of new mounts for the Burning Crusade and Lich King Timewalking vendors. It's possible that mounts will be added to other Timewalking vendors, but we're not yet aware of any. As is traditional for these rewards, the mounts are previously unused colour variants of models that were added during those expansions.
