Sun Festival's Painted Roc

Long ago, this elusive summer roc inspired many legends, many believing them to be descendants of phoenixes. The ancient tauren saw these majestic creatures as living manifestations of An'she's fire.

Notes:

Introduced in 2026, this mount has a low chance of appearing in the epic loot reward satchel after defeating Ahune during the Midsummer Fire Festival, but only on your first attempt per account per day. Ahune can only be accessed through the Dungeon Finder and does not appear outside the event dates, or in the regular version of the dungeon.

A matching set of "Sun Festival's" cosmetic gear, including swords and axes, can be purchased from Festival vendors for Burning Blossoms. The armour (but not weapon) pieces also have a small chance of dropping from the Ahune loot satchel, so perhaps save those purchases until later in the event.

The Midsummer Fire Festival, occurs around late June to early July each year, but the precise dates change annually so check your in-game calendar.
