Cartel Xy trades in many currencies; none are as valuable to its inner circle as loyalty.

Notes:

Earning this gearglider requires you to be at least Renown 8 with the Manaforge Vandals, which is earned by running the Manaforge Omega raid. To earn it you have to use three different 'Cartel Deal' items, crafted by Scribes (can be available on the Auction House), and locate thee associated 'dead drop' items inside the raid. Each Cartel faction unlocks a different dead drop item (see below).

Note that earlier reports said you could only use one 'Deal' (and gain one dead drop) per week without using a cheat script, so it should require three weeks to obtain, but I found I was able to learn all three on the same day, gather the drops from the raid and earn the mount without using any cheat scripts. So maybe that has changed.

The cartel deals and associated dead drop locations are:
  • Deal: Cartel Ba - the Cartel Ba Dead Drop can be found after Plexus Sentinel (first boss). Follow the path to the right, and the drop (which looks like a small, grey cylinder) can be found by the right-hand phase warp teleporter that takes you to the centre ring of the raid.
  • Deal: Cartel Zo - the Cartel Zo Dead Drop can be found before Forgeweaver Araz and is the trickiest to obtain. It's located on a pipe around the wall inside Mana-Vent Aphis. You have to jump off the end of the walkway and onto the pipe without dying in the process.
  • Deal: Cartel Om - the Cartel Om Dead Drop can be found after Fractillus. Look behind the building after the boss, and you'll find the drop on a rock.

After locating all three drops, speak to Zo'turu just outside the raid and he'll offer you the quest Someone Like Me which awards the mount.
